FRANCIS-LEE DUO

Violin & Piano - Classical

Formed in 2016, the Francis-Lee Duo consists of University of Auckland School of Music graduates, violinist Dr Charlotte Francis and pianist Gemma Lee. Both have gained individual successes in chamber music throughout New Zealand and overseas, and have performed together in various venues across the Upper North Island, including the Auckland Central Library, The Danish House, Whittaker's Musical Museum, All Saints Howick, Waikato Museum, and the Hokianga Music Society.

Having enjoyed previously working with each other in the University of Auckland as administrative staff, the two decided to collaborate musically with long-term professional intentions.

JANE HORDER & GEMMA LEE

Vocal & Piano - Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary

Jane’s incredible breadth of expertise in jazz, musical theatre and barbershop and Gemma's solid classical music training and collaborative nature have produced a versatile voice and piano duo, with a shared passion for presenting authentic performances that capture, thrill, inspire, and engage.

Jane Horder and Gemma Lee met at Takapuna Grammar School and closely collaborated to develop the school’s acclaimed choral programme as well as work jointly on student performances and musical productions. Available to perform in a variety of styles from light classical to jazz and musical theatre, they are the perfect pair for your next event.

Consummate singer and performer Jane Horder has sung with Auckland swing band Prima Swing Riot for many years and has performed in numerous musicals across Australasia, including Miss Saigon, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Sweeney Todd. She won the NAPTA Award for Best Female Actor in a Musical for her performance in Nunsense in 2008. Jane has successfully conducted vocal ensembles at high schools across New Zealand, including Takapuna Grammar School, and was the Head of Performing Arts at St Kentigern College. She now manages a thriving private teaching studio and is highly in demand as a singing teacher, vocal coach and musical director.
